At Meraki Chalet, we take great pride in providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming space for our guests. A detailed and thorough cleaning between stays is essential to ensure your comfort and safety. For this reason, we include a cleaning fee, allowing us to bring in professional cleaners to deep clean and sanitize every surface—from the floors to the countertops and beyond.
Why the Cleaning Fee Matters
Renting an entire chalet offers more amenities and space than a standard hotel room, which also requires greater attention to cleaning. While we strive to keep the cleaning fee as affordable as possible, we do ask guests to assist with a few checkout tasks to help us maintain fair pricing for all visitors.
Without your cooperation with basic checkout tasks, cleaning costs would require us to increase nightly rates significantly—something we prefer not to do. By taking a few minutes to help, you allow us to keep Meraki Chalet accessible to as many guests as possible.
Checkout Tasks
To help us prepare for the next guests, please complete the following tasks before you leave:
- Tidy Up: Leave the chalet in good condition and return any moved items to their original location.
- Take Out Trash: Dispose of waste in the appropriate outdoor bins.
- Discard Food: Remove any food you’re not taking with you.
- Dishes: Wash all dirty dishes or load them into the dishwasher and start it before leaving.
- Laundry: No need to make the beds or remove the linens. All we ask is that you place all used bath towels, hand towels and washcloths in the bathtub.
- Outdoor Area: Clean the BBQ, and make sure the propane is turned off.
- Return Equipment: Ensure all kayaks, paddleboards, and oars are returned to their designated storage location.
- Secure the Property: Ensure all windows and doors are closed and locked.
